This year went almost as fast as the New Year Dance Tickets, or at least it seemed that way! The tickets were sold out in one day! So be prepared to be disappointed if you are not quick off the mark for any future events at the clubhouse. Seating has to be limited when meals are being served. The dance this year was catered for by Nicolas and the food was their usual good standard.  Roberta’s music kept the dance floor busy at all times.  The room became a bit hot during the evening and several people had to go outside to cool down.  Auld Lang sign was sung with gusto and people still get the timing wrong when to cross hands.  (Tip) this should only be done when the verse comes up -”So here’s a hand my trusty friend” until then we should be swinging arms and holding hands.  We were most fortunate to have a very mild dry evening, so walking home was a pleasure even in the high heeled sandals. Thanks to Glenda Campbell and the ladies who helped make the extra 40 chair covers that made our room so elegant.  Many thanks as well to the residents who helped clear up on 2nd.
